About Charlene

My name’s Charlene Chikezie, a young Nigerian who believes in the power of the pen and its ability to change the world; to that effect, my works have been featured in a number of anthologies (poetry). One is the Poetry Anthology written for Portharcourt City, titled “The Garden City and Other Poems” which was compiled by the Society of Young Nigerian Writers.

I’m a woman of principle and I’m of the opinion that making the world a better place lies in the hands of all and sundry.

I love to play basketball, badminton, meet amazing people, listen to music and go on adventures.

What do I do
I’m a creative writer, freelance blogger, and a spoken word artist. When I’m not writing or daydreaming, I’m drawing and designing fabulous dresses.

  1. Safe adventures. Interesting. It seems to me that an unsafe adventure yields much more than the safe one. Especially for a writer. Case in point: when the automated jeeps in “Jurassic Park” go awry and stop, and Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant get out to explore.

    1. Absolutely Mr Marsden!
I’ve had a rethink on embarking on unsafe adventures but I’m still battling with leaving my comfort zone. I’d really love to read more on Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant and see if I could get more motivations from their adventures and do more exploring myself. Thank you for stopping by, Mr Marsden. 🙂
